Andrij Mykolajovyč Ševčenko, is a Ukrainian footballer, born in Dvirkivščyna, near Kiev, on 29 September 1976. He was one of the best players of his generation and one of the most loved in his homeland. The shots, the speed and the insertions were the characteristics that made it famous and really difficult to mark. Ševčenko wore important jerseys in Europe such as Milan and Chelsea and in 2004 won the Ballon d’Or. With the clubs, Ševčenko, scores 354 goals in 721 appearances. With the national team shirt, however, Ševčenko is still the second Ukrainian player for appearances for his national team (111) and the first for goals scored (48).
