The Brazilian Roberto Carlos enters in the legend, he's the winner of the Golden Foot 2008, the international career award dedicated to the greatests champions of world football. The voting was a real plebiscite for the Brazilian: the fans of the left back of Fenerbahce SK gave him 38.384 votes, against the 18.150 for Juventus FC goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon and the 12.742 votes for AS Roma captain Francesco Totti. The total votes collected on the website www.goldenfoot.com were 105.589, coming principally from Turkey, United States, China, Italy, Mexico, Argentina, Hungary, Brazil, Greece, Germany. Roberto Carlos succeed in the roll of honour to Alessandro Del Piero, to who he contested the award in the 2007 edition. Roberto Carlos (World Champion with Brazil in 2002 and winner with Real Madrid CF of 3 Champions League, 2 Intercontinental cups and 4 Spanish Liga titles) he received the Golden Foot from HSH the Prince Albert of Monaco, that gave his High Patronage to the event. As all time legends were awarded Zinedine Zidane, Luis Suarez, Igor Belanov and Aldair (Roger Milla was not able to be present for a late minute engagement).
